Es el final de la primavera y se aproxima el verano por lo que las tendencias para la temporada ya están en todos los aparadores, como es el caso de las tiendas de lentes de sol, que se manifiestan rápidamente porque es unos de los accesorios más utilizados en esta época del año.

 Los lentes o gafas son un accesorio que luce perfecto, pero no olvidemos que son esenciales para proteger los ojos de los rayos del sol, este 2021, las tendencias nos dicen que serán los modelos de gran tamaño o de forma diferente.

Centrándonos en la protección ocular, debemos tener siempre en cuenta que el uso de gafas de sol es tan importante en los niños como en los adultos en todas las estaciones del año, pero sobre todo en la época estival, en la que hay más horas de luz y además hacemos más vida al aire libre. También es bueno recordar que, incluso cuando está nublado expuesto a la luz ultravioleta además de a la luz visible.

Si usted es de aquellos que padecen de problemas visuales y debe usar gafas con su graduación, pero también necesita lentes de sol, lo ideal es usar su graduación  y al mismo tiempo proteger sus ojos de los rayos solares. Con esto se previene que ingrese la radiación dañina al interior del ojo, lo que a mediano plazo contribuirá al desarrollo de diferentes patologías oculares como: pterigión, cataratas, fotofobia e incluso degeneración macular (lesión de la mácula, que está ubicada en la retina y es la encargada de la visión central), que con la edad puede terminar en ceguera; adicionando otra enfermedad visual, y es por eso la importancia de proteger los ojos y además de lucir bien.
